Nepal Care stands with the HCC orphanage
Since 2014, Nepal Care has supported the HCC orphanage in Nepal and is now launching a building project to provide the children with a lasting home
Nepal Care’s support for the Humanitarian Concern Center orphanage has, from the very beginning, been rooted in concrete solidarity, following the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal in 2014. Shortly after the disaster, the organization stepped in to repair the collapsed parts of the building and to carry out essential improvements to ensure the children’s safety and comfort.
This first commitment marked the beginning of a close and trusting relationship between the Nepal Care team, the children, and the staff at the HCC orphanage.

A humanitarian commitment against food insecurity
For several years now, Nepal Care has been actively addressing the issue of food insecurity affecting the children of the HCC orphanage.
Every quarter, we deliver essential food supplies: rice, lentils, staples, oil…
These regular deliveries provide a stable nutritional foundation in an environment still deeply affected by poverty.

Towards a Stable Future for the Children of HCC Orphanage
Today, the team is ready to take things further. The land on which the orphanage currently stands is rented, and the lease remains uncertain.
At any moment, the children could be forced to leave, with no fallback solution.
In response to this instability, Nepal Care is launching an ambitious new project: the purchase of land and the construction of a stable, long-term orphanage.
This initiative aims to provide the children with a safe, sustainable living space, thoughtfully designed for their long-term well-being.

A solidarity project for a lasting orphanage in Nepal
This new phase marks a major milestone in Nepal Care’s humanitarian mission in Nepal.
It is not only a response to an urgent need, but also a way to root our action in long-term stability and development.
By supporting this project, each donor helps provide these vulnerable children not only with a roof over their heads — but with a future.
In response to this uncertainty, Nepal Care is launching a bold new initiative: acquiring land and building a stable, sustainable orphanage.
This project is designed to give the children a secure, long-lasting living space, carefully planned for their well-being over time.

Our commitment to the HCC orphanage: a choice based on values
Among the many orphanages in Kathmandu — several of which are supported by large international organizations — the HCC Orphanage stood out to us for several reasons.
First, its size aligns with the scale of support we can provide. But more importantly, its values: children are at the heart of everything, with an unquestionable ethic and integrity.
HCC was founded by a humble couple, deeply moved by the suffering of children abandoned after the devastating 2015 earthquake. It is a small, family-style structure — efficient, caring, and transparently managed.
Kathmandu is home to many street children, victims of repeated disasters: the loss of parents, the impossibility of staying in villages destroyed by natural catastrophes, extreme poverty…These children live in danger, as predators are never far away in such conditions.
The orphanage offers them safety, decent food, a healthy physical and emotional environment, and consistent, quality education.
